Work is the bedrock of all achievements. You may have a rock solid plan, stellar goals and great charisma but if you don’t put the work into it, you will DEFINITELY not succeed. That’s for sure.
Yes, most people would like to just sit down in a quiet room and imagine the work has already been done, and that the money is pouring into their bank accounts and that their lives are perfect in every way. This is okay but you must wake up from that day dream and go out there and work to make that dream a reality.
Talent may take you to a level of success in your life but if you want to be among those described as geniuses, you must be willing to work for it.
Will Smith said it in an interview, and I paraphrase, that you may be smarter than him; you may be faster or stranger than he is but what keeps him apart from every other person is his sickening work ethic. He says that when the other guy is sleeping, he is working. When the other guy is eating, he is working.
Work will lift you from the realm of mediocrity to a level of genius.
DON’T LOOK BACK, LEFT OR RIGHT
Whenever you wish and have determined to do something that will move you towards your goal or dream go for it. People will definitely tell you that you cannot do it, that’s a given, but it is only you who can see your future the way you want it to be. Don’t be afraid to just go for it. Never look back and hope how the other thing you wanted to do would have gone. Don’t look left or right wondering what this other thing would bring you if you went for it. Just keep your eyes forward with faith and determination that what you want, you will get and the sky will be your stepping stone.
REFUSE TO BE SCARED
Fear is a major cause of failure among human beings today. It has always been and it will always be the number one reason why so many people just can’t seem to get ahead and do what they are supposed to do. Fear is crippling but you are the one that can give that fear the permission to cripple you. You can overcome fear by not giving it permission to rule your life.
